Body Waxing is a great alternative to shaving if you have hair you’re uncomfortable with. People of all ages can have wax treatment done. While most women love that freshly waxed look and feel, many don’t have the courage or don’t know about the service.
Body Waxing is much better because it removes hair from the root, it can last up to a month. Some people will start to see regrowth in two weeks due to some hair being on a different growth cycle. Over time it thins the hair so less grows back. The treatment also exfoliates the skin leaving you feeling silky smooth.
Body Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal, which removes the hair from the root. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini waxing, legs, arms, back, abdomen and feet. There are two types of waxing suitable for removing unwanted hair:
Spread a wax thinly over the skin using wax strip (soft/warm wax). Apply the paper strip pressing firmly to the wax and the wax to the skin. Then quickly ripped the strip against the direction of hair growth, as parallel as possible to the skin; to avoid trauma. (i.e, bruising, broken capillaries, ingrown hairs caused by hair follicle trauma and lifting of skin). This removes the wax along with the hair.
Hard wax (hot), is applied thickly and with no cloth or paper strips. The wax then hardens when it cools, thus allowing the easy removal by a therapist without the aid of cloths. This waxing method is very beneficial to people who have sensitive skin. Stripless wax does not adhere to the skin as much as strip wax does, thus making it a good option for sensitive skin as finer hairs are more easily removed because the hard wax encapsulates the hair as it hardens.
I recommend an exfoliating scrub the day before and advise not to apply body lotion on the day of the treatment as it is easier to remove the hair. It is excellent for summer when we will be able to wear shorts and dresses to show our amazing hairless legs and arms.
In my opinion anyone who hasn’t given it a try should do it because the feeling that the service gives us afterwards is amazing, we feel more confident and good about ourselves.
